The Journalist, the Red Sofa, and the Article That Never Got Written
A while back, I got a call from a journalist. She was writing for a Dutch Interior Design magazine - cant remember which one it was.
She wanted to write an article about Feng Shui. How nice, I thought — until, after a little friendly nudging, she admitted the piece was less "fascinating ancient wisdom" and more "let's expose this nonsense once and for all." Fair enough. I've heard worse.
But here's where it got interesting.
In the same conversation, she mentioned — almost as an aside — that she had recently splurged on the most gorgeous red sofa. We're talking serious money. Dream-sofa money. She saved up for it. And yet, somehow, once, finally, in her own apartment, it just... didn't work. Looked incredible in the store. Looked wrong at home. She couldn't figure out why.
I could, though :) At least I had an idea.
So I made her a deal: let me do my Feng Shui analysis, and if I could tell her exactly why that sofa was fighting her space — she'd consider writing a different kind of article.
She laughed, but she agreed and gave me her details.
I did my calculations. And yes — there it was. Her personal energy profile, her space, that bold red sofa in that particular corner. It all told a very clear story. Not a "this is ugly" story. A "these energies are clashing in ways your gut already noticed, even if your brain didn't" story. I went a bit more into detail. Her birth Element being Metal, red sofa being Fire… And some.
She went quiet for a moment.
Then she said: "Okay. That's... actually exactly what it feels like."
She actually never wrote that article :)
Curious whether your space is telling you something you're not quite hearing yet? That's kind of my thing :)
